UBCO Heat Athletic Scholarship Breakfast – presented by RBC
Supporting Student Athletes in the Okanagan
The University of British Columbia provides students with more than a world-class education.
Our athletics program at UBC Okanagan features nationally recognized coaches, outstanding facilities, and incredible support services for academics and student wellbeing. Competing in U SPORTS and/or in the Canada West conference in men's and women's basketball, cross country running, golf, soccer and volleyball, UBC Okanagan student-athletes are competing at the highest level of amateur competition in the country. UBCO has recently introduced a Competitive Sport Club model that currently boast opportunities in men's and women's rugby, softball, and very soon, track & field. This level of offering to students demonstrates that UBC Okanagan is committed to post-secondary sport.
Our goal is attracting high-achieving students with the athletic ability required to be competitive at the national level. We recruit these students from within the Okanagan Valley, throughout the province and across the country. Our Athletics Scholarship Endowment helps us provide the financial assistance needed to support these outstanding UBC student athletes.
Be a part of the legacy.

Last April was another sell-out. Thanks to all who enjoyed the 14th Annual UBCO Athletics Scholarship Breakfast Presented by RBC.
With the sell-out in 2019, the total value of the scholarship endowment has nearly reached $1,000,000 for UBC student athletes.
A great job was done by the two speakers at the breakfast Jordan Korol (Pictured above), was the student speaker and a member of the Heat women's basketball team. Dr. Meghan Grant (Pictured below), was the inspirational featured speaker. Remember more about last year's event here.
