Ethan Hunt is one of two current members of the Heat men's golf team from Kelowna's Immaculata Regional high school, Nik Fedorko is the other.
Hunt has golfed with the Heat men's team for two seasons and the third-year arts student's best finish was in Edmonton at the University of Alberta Invitational. At the Redtail Landing Golf Club Hunt finished fifth overall at the Canada West tournament last September.
With golf being one of the few sports allowed to compete during these COVID times, Hunt has continued to improve on his game over the summer. This past July, Hunt finished tied for 11th at the 118th B.C. Amateur Championship, his best finish ever at that annual event.
Now focused on training for the Canada West championship this October, Hunt found the choice to stay in Kelowna and go to school easy.
"I chose UBCO because it allows me to play golf at a high level, get a fantastic education, and stay in Kelowna where I grew up."
