Most Outstanding Athlete of the Year – Mitch McCaw (Men's Soccer)

Mitch was the backbone of the Heat men's side this season, finishing with six wins, including five shutouts, in his 14 starts in net for UBCO. In his first season with the Heat after transferring from Concordia University in Portland, McCaw became the first Heat soccer team member to receive all star recognition when he was named to the Canada West First Team. He was also named a Canada West First Star of the Week after his performances in Kelowna against Lethbridge and Calgary.

The fourth year management student had a stat line of 66 saves (5th in Canada West), a .805 save percentage (also 5th in the conference), and a 1.14 goals against average.
