Morgan Nichols has provided a local flavour for the men’s Heat volleyball squad at the setter position for the past three seasons. The George Elliot Secondary grad has played in 58 matches over those three years, and this past January in a five-set UBCO win he set his career-high in assists with 42. Those 42 was also a team-high for the year tied with Jakob Hamilton who hit that mark against in the UBCO win against Calgary on the last day of the season.
Featured this week in the Heat’s social media campaign “Why Wednesday” the Arts student explained that he chose UBCO “Because it’s home for me, and having already played under Brad I knew how great of a coach I would be playing for. That along with the high status of UBC in terms of education.”
