A pleasant surprise for the men’s Heat volleyball squad this year was second-year middle Téo Ardanaz. Working his way into the starting lineup, the sophomore finished the year leading the team in blocks with 45.
That hard work and determination saw him start the last 13 matches for UBCO, and earned him his ‘Team MVP’, handed out at the end of the year 'Virtual Banquet'.
Featured this week in the Heat’s social media campaign “Why Wednesday” the 6’8” Ardanaz simply explained that he chose UBCO “Because it provided me with the unique chance to build a new legacy for the volleyball program all while getting a great education.”

Would you rather write a final exam or a 10-page paper?
10 page paper. I feel much more comfortable writing and there are no surprises!
