High Performance Lab (HPL)

HPL

The High Performance Lab (HPL) opened in Fall 2013. This elite training centre allows UBC Okanagan's 150 student-athletes to train year round to become bigger, stronger, faster, and leaner that their competitors. The HPL allows for injured student-athletes to rehabilitate in a safer, faster, and more effective manner by having access to exercise machines while being supervised by the Heat's Athletic trainers. This elite training centre contains everything from Olympic lifting platforms, cable machines, and free weights to heavy ropes, mini bands and sleds. It has restricted access. See Jeff Thorburn or Kevin Phillips for access information. Quality strength and conditioning programs are a vital component for consistent success in college athletics and the HPL is dedicated to developing every individual to achieve maximum results.
